Anne's Beach

Before it was a park, the picturesque area now known as Anne's Beach was a virtual land fill... a place where people dumped their old cars, appliances and junk.  But The people who lived on the island, realized what a special location this was and with Anne Eaton and Lesley Tassell leading the way, set out to do something about it. It took several years until the project was complete and the beach was named for Anne Eaton, one of the residents who worked tirelessly to make the park a reality.  This is the editorial that appeared in the Keynoter April 13, 1991:
